DEAR DOCTOR EZEUGWU: Do you always ask your patients to exercise? If so, why?
DEAR PATIENT: Yes, I do ask our patients to exercise routinely because exercise has many health benefits.
Among them are:
1 – Prevention of heart disease progression and complications
2 – Control of diabetes
3 — Control of excess weight
4 — Improving mental health
5 – Promotion of a good sense of well-being
6 – Prevention of depression, and
7 — Living longer!!
Choose an exercise that you enjoy, ask your Doctor if your heart is fit for it, and do it!
